Blues on Broadbeach-1

Blues on Broadbeach

Blues on Broadbeach is one of Australia’s largest non-ticketed music festivals, with four days of incredible live music spread throughout the vibrant streets, venues and parks of the beachside Gold Coast suburb.

Entering its 24th year in 2025, Blues on Broadbeach has become an integral part of Gold Coast’s cultural identity, with locals and visitors coming together to experience the fun, energetic, inclusive festival. The program blends legendary international acts with homegrown talent to deliver a world-class line-up.

Surrounded by the restaurants, cafes and bars of Broadbeach with a wide range of accommodation options within the festival precinct, this is a blues festival experience like no other. Blues on Broadbeach encompasses over 20 performance spaces from intimate solo shows in a bar or restaurant, to an outdoor festival experience at Kurrawa Park. The hugely popular festival attracts thousands of people to the Gold Coast each year and brings significant economic benefits to Broadbeach and the surrounding area.

Cooly Rocks On-1

Cooly Rocks On

Renowned as Australia’s largest nostalgia festival, Cooly Rocks On is a celebration of the motors, music and lifestyle of yesteryear. Proudly produced by Experience Gold Coast, Cooly Rocks On attracts tens of thousands of visitors to Coolangatta from right across Australia and overseas to enjoy some of the best rockabilly, rock’n’roll, and tribute artists from around the world.

Just as popular as the music is the motor element of the festival where over 900 vintage vehicles are on display from custom hot rods, to coupes, retro caravans and classic cars from the 50s, 60s and 70s. Proud owners love showing and sharing their pride and joy, and take part in car runs and rallies where they convoy to various locations across the Gold Coast.

Rounding out the entertainment and enjoyment are beachside rock ‘n’ roll dances, swing dancing workshops, a pin-up pageant and vintage markets where shoppers can find retro treasures, memorabilia and rockabilly fashion.

The hugely popular, award-winning festival is a signature event in Queensland’s event calendar, held annually in early June.

Big City Lights

Big City Lights* is a festival of urban design, digital culture, music and light taking place in the heart of Southport CBD. The event activates inner city spaces and transforms urban infrastructure, buildings, alleyways and facades into bright, colourful outdoor galleries.

Hundreds of artists feature in an engaging program of creative play with large-scale light projections, surround sound audio works, immersive experiences, digital design, film and live music.

Igniting curiosity, inspiration and wonder for those who attend, Big City Lights* invites an inner city adventure, where the audience can wander the streets, ponder the artworks and interact with installations. This contemporary cultural festival is a free, fun and family-friendly event that makes the arts an inclusive and accessible experience for locals and visitors to the Gold Coast.

Bleach* is the Gold Coast’s annual contemporary arts festival. The festival is proudly local, celebrating the city’s incredible landscape and using it as the backdrop to stage world-class cultural experiences created by some of Australia’s finest artists.

Presenting an 11-day program packed with an eclectic mix of events, performances and workshops, Bleach* brings Gold Coast culture to the people. Immersive experiences and unexpected performance spaces are a signature twist. The program encompasses all forms of expression including dance, theatre, music, visual arts, installations, plays, concerts, workshops, First Nations culture, storytelling, community celebrations and discussions.

Groundwater Country Music Festival 2022

Groundwater Country Music Festival

Groundwater Country Music Festival (CMF) is an annual event that gathers some of the best local and international country artists and thousands of country music fans for three days of free live music on the Gold Coast. The event helps drive visitation, stimulates the local economy and provides significant economic benefits to local businesses.

Produced by Experience Gold Coast’s major events team, Groundwater sees stages scattered through the streets, parks and venues of Broadbeach for a unique festival experience in an iconic beachfront location. Patrons can soak up the buzzing atmosphere and beautiful sunshine as they wander from stage to stage, discovering new acts, enjoying firm favourites and getting into the spirit of country music culture.

Groundwater CMF has been a launch platform for many artists and continues to celebrate the rapidly growing popularity of the country genre as it merges into mainstream. The name Groundwater CFM draws from both the Aboriginal people’s close spiritual connection, as well as the farming community’s reliance on groundwater for survival. Groundwater CMF is a festival that celebrates community, brought together by a shared love of country music.
